TAX PREPARATION

We specialize in tax preparation services for self-employed individuals in creative industries, but we’re experienced in preparing all types of individual and business entity returns. Because we want to stay up to date and in the loop with any goings-on that might affect your tax life, included in the tax prep fee are up to four quarterly 20-minute “Life Check-ins” by email, phone, or Zoom—events like getting married, having a baby, or bringing in more (or less) business revenue can affect your tax liability. By checking in throughout the year, we can be proactive and keep you on top of things tax-wise.

TAX PLANNING

Although we make it a point to check in with you throughout the year to adjust as needed, there may be times when you require more in-depth tax planning. Maybe you’re considering a transaction like selling stock, buying a house, or contributing to a retirement plan, and you’d like to compare different tax scenarios before you decide. We’ll collect the relevant information and carefully consider your goals to provide you with a customized plan that will show you ways to optimize your tax savings and allow you to make an informed decision. Tax planning is billed at an hourly rate, and we’ll give you a quote ahead of time so there are no surprises.

BOOKKEEPING

If you’re in a need of bookkeeping, we offer customized service based on your particular situation. Bookkeeping service includes any or all of the following: categorization of expenses, bank and credit card account reconciliation, monthly preparation and delivery of financial statements to your email, regular review calls, assistance with year-end closing, and delivery of tax-ready financial statements to your accountant (if returns aren’t prepared by us).
